Savannah and her fellow tree planters, a group of twenty-somethings, discover this place is haunted (an expected fact), but they’re soon faced with more than they anticipated. A century-old secret that’s put all of Earth under its spell comes into play here; even more disturbing, its forest knows who people are; things simply vanish without a trace!
But that’s where it gets interesting: this story goes beyond ghost stories to explore people who lived at Evergreen Peaks decades before Savannah arrived - and their lessons for her and her friends today. Despite all the creeps and danger, Savannah is determined to fight their way out and discover Evergreen Peaks’s secrets.

Sylvia Lily is a Canadian Indie Musician who made a soundtrack for Evergreen Peaks. As a singer-songwriter in collaboration with Calm Canopy, there is an EP album called Evergreen Peaks, featuring songs such as “Wine Witch” and “Flow.” The novel has QR codes to link to the music. This EP album is an original soundtrack loosely based on this novel, immersing the reader further into the world of Evergreen Peaks and its characters.

What a great book! I read it in four days because I couldn't put it down. The story takes place in the mystical forest park Evergreen Peaks, where the characters have to face the truths about themselves and the mysterious motivations of the forest itself. The heroes and villains of the story are layered and complex and each reveal a piece of the history that ties them all together. Creepy and scary at times, but with beautiful themes and imagery.
